Alone

(another transfer from my journal... about 1 year old)

Deep into the Darkness I sank
I watched as the Light dimmed...
flickered...
extinguished.
The Darkness I had come to fear
Was now the only thing I knew
It was terrifyingly comforting
Yet upsettingly soothing
IT was full of so much nothing
IT never made promises IT couldn't keep
IT never Lied...
............Cheated
................or Stole
IT never hurt
This is what I have come to know
The darkness I built
Alone
